Need To Scan Documents For A Digital Library?

A high quality desktop scanner

A digital library with an online portal allows easy access to documents from anywhere in the world. So we recommend digitising paper documents for preservation and easy access.

There are large digitisation projects in law libraries, national libraries, national archives, government departments and more. These projects usually require very high quality scanners. The scanned results may have to be FADGI compliant, which means that the scanned images provide high enough definition to be included in National collections. Usually when you scan a document, you produce two images; one is a TIF file which is very high definition and a second image which is lower definition and is used for viewing on PC screens. The lower resolution images are excellent images and are small enough not to block any network.

There are excellent much less expensive scanners now available for use in schools, public libraries and general scanning. These produce quality documents for your digital collections.

ANS have considerable expertise in digitisation and can provide both hardware and software. Please call us if you are thinking about digitisation.
